Coco Martin brought his “FPJ’s Batang Quiapo” co-stars to Cebu City for a media conference. Check out all the happenings from the event by launching this gallery.

With Coco in the Queen City of the South are Cherry Pie Picache, John Estrada, Lito Lapid, Mark Lapid, McCoy de Leon, Bassilyo, Smugglaz, and popular social media content creators who will play exciting roles in the teleserye.

The Primetime King promised that “Batang Quiapo” will deliver an entirely new flavor, something that every Pinoy can relate to. He discussed how this new show mirrors the different lives of Filipinos. Production-wise, he, as one of the directors and producers, made sure to level up their techniques to provide viewers with a movie-like experience since one of their goals is to be on par with global productions.

“In terms of technicality, talagang kinuha na namin ‘yung magandang camera. Tapos ‘yung proseso po ngayon ng paggawa ng show namin, kung ano ‘yung proseso na ginagawa namin pag gumagawa kami ng pelikula. Kino-color grade po namin, lahat, sound design, music.”

“This time, talagang mapa-proud ang Pilipino dahil gawang Pinoy pero makikita ninyo ‘yung quality tinaasan po namin ‘yung antas,” emphasized Coco. He added, “Kaya natin mga Pilipino makipagsabayan, totoo po ‘yan, basta bigyan lang po tayo ng pagkakataon, time, at suporta. Kayang-kaya po natin.”

The actor-director was praised by his co-stars for his collaborative and spontaneous techniques, as well as his work ethic and big-heartedness toward his colleagues. Lovi Poe also received good words from her co-artists, who described her as down-to-earth and passionate – qualities that remind them of her father, Da King Fernando Poe, Jr. “Hindi nalalayo ang bunga sa puno,” said Cherry Pie.

Everyone expressed gratitude and honor to be part of a teleserye that continues FPJ's legacy and to be working with Coco. Through the photos, we can sense the cast members’ camaraderie and respect for one another.
