Tanggol (Coco Martin)’s pickup lines are so epic that viewers can’t help but smile and blush the way Mokang (Lovi Poe) does in FPJ’s Batang Quiapo. Here, Kapamilya Update collated his amusing, sweet, and flirtatious ‘banat’ that you may even use to make your crush feel ‘kilig.’

“Ba’t ang ganda mo ngayon?” How do you sweep a woman off her feet? Compliment her looks and she’d certainly smile in return, as what happened when Tanggol greeted Mokang before she leaves for school. He volunteered to bring her to school, but Mokang was hesitant. And when told he doesn’t even have money to pay for their ride, he bragged, “Lover boy ‘to!”

“Walang malisya” is an old one but a classic to those with ‘para-paraan’ moves. In this scene, the jeepney ran out of seats, thus Tanggol asked Mokang to sit on his lap. Of course, the king of Quiapo has mastered the science of flirting. He leaned on her shoulder, pretending that he was just pulling her close so she won’t fall off. “Alalayan nga kita baka malaglag ka,” he said. And when Mokang took his change, he quipped, “Ginawa mo akong sugar daddy, ah!”

After their spontaneous date, Mokang thanked Tanggol and said she looks forward to his next ‘libre.’ Of course, he liked the idea, but he won’t show his feelings, telling her instead, “Hoy! Tumigil ka, namihasa ka naman. Minsan ka lang pinagbigyan, eh. Anong tingin mo sa akin, easy to get?” He then uttered, “Mokang, ibig bang sabihin niyan nanliligaw ka na sa akin?” When rejected, he replied that females go crazy over him, thus, “Swerte mo nga kung ligawan kita”

We couldn’t leave out the scene where Mokang saw Tanggol playing pool with his friends and told him to stop his rascal manner. He retorted with his signature handsome smile, “Huwag kang mag-alala babait na ako kapag kiniss mo na ako.”

He tried to request again while slow dancing during Mokang’s debut party, “Baka nemen. Baka pwedeng pa-kiss naman!” Getting a ‘no,’ he joked, “Ikaw naman, masyado kang choosy. Alam mo ba kung saka-sakali, ikaw ang kauna-unahang babaeng makakahalik sa mga labi ko.”

The video closes with their classic ‘tambay kwentuhan’ where Mokang thanked Tanggol for saving him from JP (Dino Imperial)’s abuse. Exalted by his crush, he smiled and said, “Mga bata pa lang tayo, handa na kitang ipagtanggol kahit kanino. Ngayon pa na nagdalaga ka na, pwede ka na tapos uunahan ako ng iba. Huy! Hindi pwede ‘yun.” He insisted he has good intentions, “Siyempre, ikaw ang magiging ina ng mga anak ko.” Mokang was gobsmacked by the low-key confession, so Tanggol reacted, “Wala akong gusto sa’yo, pagnanasa meron.” Tanggol is clearly the life of the ‘tropa’ and the king of ‘banat.’
