How could anyone forget G Toengi?

G rose to fame in the ‘90s, starring in a variety of ABS-CBN shows including the popular youth-oriented program “Gimik” where she played Diether Ocampo's love team partner. She was a certified Crush ng Bayan. And her stint as an MTV VJ made her a household name in Asia.

But, where is G Toengi now? In the third episode of “Wer Na U” under ABS-CBN’s Made For YouTube programs, we see what G’s life has been like lately.

G left for the United States in 2001 to pursue her studies and a bigger dream of becoming an actress, working as a bartender to support her expenses. Soon, she married Tim Walters, a bartender from the restaurant next door.

G welcomed viewers to her home in Los Angeles, USA, where she raises her two kids, Sakura and Kenobi. Albeit shy at the moment, the siblings will most likely learn to take the spotlight soon, with their talent in theater acting, singing, and dancing.

She is a hands-on homemaker who finds joy in washing the dishes (she said Tim cooks more), walking the dogs, and caring for the house plants. “Napakasimple ng buhay ko sa America,” she smiled.

Apart from being a mother and wife, she remains very much active in the entertainment industry in LA. G hosts and produces “Kababayan Today,” a talk show that caters to Filipino-American audiences under KSCI-TV LA18, Los Angeles’ number one Asian TV station.

She’s also an Executive Director at FilAm Arts, a non-profit organization in Los Angeles dedicated to the representation of Filipino and Filipino-American arts and culture. In the video, she welcomed everyone to the reading of their musical comedy presentation “Proud Marys.”

She lends her marketing skills to Island Pacific Supermarket, a Filipino-American grocery store in California and Las Vegas.

Professionally, G has a lot on her plate, but her stateside hustle doesn’t mean she can’t squeeze in a quick vacation in Manila. A portion of the episode showed G’s quick visit to the Philippines to join her mom’s birthday celebration and reunite with friends.

In 2012, after finishing college, G also brought her husband and kids to the Philippines. Her family values privacy, but thankfully, they understand that she has to appear on TV as her profession.
