BINI’s Gwen Apuli recently joined MJ Felipe on On Cue, where one of the first topics was her signature short hair. It’s been five years since she had short hair, Gwen shared, adding that back when she was in “Pinoy Big Brother,” she sported longer locks. Growing up, her mom always dreamed of her having long hair with bangs, and Gwen herself once thought she’d grow it out. But her management had other ideas, and thus, her now-iconic short hairstyle was born.

Over the years, Gwen’s hair has gone through many transformations. She dyed it so many times to get ginger color, she laughed, hinting at the journey her hair has taken along with her evolving career. Fans and the public have noticed Gwen’s striking model-like appeal, and she revealed that modeling has always been a dream. With all the photoshoots she’s done with BINI, she feels she’s improved and hopes to pursue more modeling opportunities.

When MJ asked if she’d accept an invitation to walk in a Paris fashion show, Gwen’s eyes lit up and said, "Yes, I will!" She admitted with a laugh that she’d feel nervous because she doesn't think she's confident enough with her walk just yet.

Beyond modeling, Gwen expressed interest in acting, despite feeling like she’s starting from scratch. “Sobrang ‘di ako marunong, like wala po talaga,” she said, admitting acting is still a new territory for her. She looks up to stars like Janella Salvador and Sarah Geronimo, and if given the chance, she’d love to work with them one day.

As for her lifestyle, Gwen said she doesn’t follow a strict diet. Their performances are basically her cardio! When she does indulge, her comfort foods include matcha and vanilla ice cream. When asked about her last kilig moment, Gwen confessed that she often feels it while watching her favorite K-Dramas—especially her beloved “Goblin.”

When asked where she sees herself in 10 years, Gwen admitted she feels the pressure. “Nape-pressure nga ako sa buhay ko eh kaya hindi ko talaga alam,” she said, acknowledging her tendency to overthink her future. But she does have long-term dreams, like starting a business or launching a cosmetic brand, and possibly living in the countryside.

Finally, if stranded on an island, who would she want by her side? Without hesitation, she said she’d choose her fellow BINI member, Jhoanna.
