The full trailer of Darna: The TV Series was released last July 7 and everyone’s obsessed with the ground-breaking cinematography and action scenes presented in the three-minute video. Let’s see if the cast members had the same ecstatic reactions as all of us.

JRB Creative Production released a video of the main cast Jane De Leon playing Darna/Narda, Janella Salvador as Regina/Valentina, Joshua Garcia as Brian, and Zaijian Jaranilla as Ding watching the trailer and sharing their live reactions. Iza Calzado, portraying the prime Darna who will pass on the white stone to Jane’s character, reacted as well.

The excitement is evident in the beginning, as the cast remained quiet while anticipating the build-up of action. Whooping moments started to soar when it rained Hollywood-vibe special effects to match Iza’s transformation into Darna.

Then, they lauded Jane for her action scenes as Narda, particularly the parts where she’s training with Iza and defending her friends from the bullies. “Gigil na gigil ka do’n ah,” Joshua reacted.

Like us viewers, the cast had goosebumps when Iza lifted a large boulder stone mid-flight in her red fight suit, and when she evanesced under fire before she was able to take the stone during an attack of the villainous creatures called ‘Extras.’

From there, more characters were introduced including Janella as the lawyer-vlogger Regina, the human alter-ego of Darna’s archnemesis Valentina.

Jane and Janella low-key cheering on each other makes us want to see more of their off-cam closeness, as well as their on-screen rivalry, of course. The quartet would show excitement for each other during their highlight moments. Iza was impressed with her co-stars and how the trailer was weaved into perfection.

Zaijian was quite speechless, “Masaya lang ako kasi parang lahat ng pinaghirapan natin, mapapanood na nila.” Janella added, “I realized wala pa ‘to sa mga ginawa namin, pero ang ganda. Kaya abangan ninyo ‘yung mga pasabog.”

And, yes, Joshua is aware that his topless scene has now gone viral.
