"It's a dream come true."

This was how BINI Maloi described attending the Billboard K Power 100 event on Tuesday, August 27, in South Korea.

Maloi recalled that she was ecstatic to meet various K-Pop artists that they look up to at the event.

"Grabe 'yung mga nakikita lang namin online, 'yung mga K-pop artists and 'yung makita namin 'yung faces namin doon, ang daming cameras," she said in an interview with MJ Felipe of ABS-CBN News.

BINI received the Voices of Asia Award at the Billboard event for "their groundbreaking contributions to Filipino music and their unwavering championing of P-pop on the global stage."

They also performed a mash-up of their two hit tracks "Pantropiko" and "Cherry On Top."

Jhoanna admitted that receiving an award from Billboard has still not sunk in.

"Parang naiwan pa rin 'yung utak namin doon since one day lang kami. Parang gusto pa namin mag-roam around. And 'yung award na nakuha namin, hindi pa nag-si-sink in sa amin," she stated. 

Despite the jitters, Gwen said that they savored their time at the Billboard event.

"Nakakakaba po siya, kasi first time po namin. Pero in-enjoy na lang po namin 'yung event kasi siyempre hindi naman laging ganito eh. Talagang matagal po naming hinintay itong opportunity na ito," Gwen remarked.

BINI received the award from Billboard alongside fellow P-Pop group SB19.

In their acceptance speech, BINI expressed their gratitude to those who supported them in their journey in the music industry.

"It’s ultimately an honor and we are so grateful to receive this award. But this award is not only for us but also for the people that believe in us and who have been part of our journey," Aiah stated.

Jhoanna highlighted that the receiving the award was a reminder that "anything is possible with hard work and dedication."

The singer also dedicated the award to their fellow artists in the Philippines.

"To our fellow artists, we admire and respect each and every one of you. To our fellow P-pop group, SB19, thank you so much for inspiring us," she said.
