Sam Pinto shared her journey in building her dream resort in Baler called L'Sirene.

In an interview with Karen Davila for her latest YouTube vlog, Sam relayed that she has been fond of the beach since her younger days, which inspired her to put up her own resort.  She bought the 3.5-hectare property where L'Sirene is now located when she was 27 years old.

"Actually it all started kasi na mahilig ako sa beach that's the number one. Tapos I tried surfing sa La Union and parang na in love ako sa sport because I am very sporty. I am Sagittarius so I love anything to do with the water, free diving, surfing, ganyan love na love ko 'yan," she said.

When she first visited Baler, Sam instantly fell in love with the place.

"May nagsabi sa akin, 'Pumunta ka sa Baler.' [Sabi ko], 'Anong meron sa Baler? Parang you don't hear much about Baler kasi di ba? So sabi ko, 'Sige try natin.'

Nang pumunta ako dito na in love talaga ako kasi sobrang ganda niya plus 'yung beach niya pwede kang mag-surf kahit saan... Ito buong stretch ng Baler pwede," she highlighted.

The L'Sirene resort has different areas and amenities including a reception area, room accommodations, restaurant, and pools, among others.

Sam shared that she bought the Baler property for 17 million pesos. The former actress said that the money she saved from her endorsements and from her work on GMA is what she invested into the property.

It was Sam's mom who encouraged her to invest in a lot.

"Kasi nanay ko estate lawyer. Sabi niya lupa talaga kailangan kasi hindi bumababa ang [value] ng lupa eh and then kaya naging resort siya kasi dapat bahay lang ito and then eh ang laki ng property na nabili ko [so sabi ko] ang laki masyado, parang palang beach house so sabi ko i-share ko kaya itong paradise na ito to everybody so ayun nabuhay ang resort," she said.

The celebrity entrepreneur relayed that it was always her end goal to live by the beach once she retires from show business. "Kasi hindi naman forever ang showbiz unless you wanted to. Gusto kong tumira sa beach and business ko na rin di ba so it's a win-win situation: I live in the beach and I make money," she highlighted.

In the same interview, Sam was asked why she decided to stop working in show business.

"I think I was already happy with my life and also I got tired kasi grabe talaga, I was grinding everyday to the point na pagod na pagod na ako. 'Gusto ko pa ba 'to?' I was asking myself, and I was like why not stop muna and then think of my mental health and just be happy for a little bit," she replied.

"And I felt like I'm content already with what I've done so parang sige let's take a break," she added.

On her long term vision, Sam hopes to build more resorts in the future.

"We are actually looking at other beach properties na... This took me a year to find, this property, as in buong Baler inikot namin, but right now we are looking for another beach property. We are thinking of Lucena at least two hours away lang from Manila so maybe a chain of resorts or Airbnbs," she stated.

When asked if she has a mantra in life, she replied: "Just follow your dreams. This is my dream and if it's your dream, kung mahirap or all the hard stuff about it, you will take it as a good thing and you will learn from it and make everything better."
