The celebrity couple recently welcomed their third child Saxon. Their eldest son Scottie was born in June 2020, while their second child Sevi arrived in May 2022.

"After talking to Kryz about the spaces that we need, we figured we needed bedrooms for all the kids, we needed a playroom, we needed a place for them to do coloring work, studying in the future," Slater said in his YouTube vlog.

The engineer-content creator shared that as their family expanded, they realized they needed a whole new space so they decided that they will be constructing a second floor for their house.

"The original plan as a family was to have two kids, siyempre life happens nagiging tatlo na, so 'yun na yung nagiging challenge and since the house is already very sprawling, one floor ito lahat, we figured we really needed a second floor," he relayed.

Slater shared what the second floor will look like saying, "The upper floor will be a podcast area, Kryz's office and my office combined, malaki siyang space."

He went on: "Across it will be this gym and we will have an extra stockroom as well. So for those who are building houses, one of the biggest suggestions that I can give you is whatever you think your stock room needs are, double or triple it. "This project has been one of the most stressful things I have ever done. Not only because we were trying to do something different and architecturally challenging, but also because we planned on finishing it as fast as possible. (We planned on completing it in 7 months, but we moved in at 9 months). Still not 100% complete but happy to call this place home," Slater posted back in 2019 on social media upon moving into Skypod.
"This project has been one of the most stressful things I have ever done. Not only because we were trying to do something different and architecturally challenging, but also because we planned on finishing it as fast as possible. Aside from renovating their home, Slater is also currently working on the award-winning Cebu real estate development The Rise at Monterrazas, which won the Architizer A+ Jury award.

"It was really a shock and truly an honor talaga. It hits different. I am very, very proud," he remarked on receiving the award in a previous interview with PUSH.

On what he thinks made their project stand out, he replied: "I am guessing here, I think it's because we stayed true to our roots and we stayed honest to the design na okay this is going to be fully Filipino, the aesthetic is fully Filipino, and we were able to solve a problem uniquely. We are not the first one to do this but we are able to execute in a way that we can say that it is uniquely ours. I think that's what resonate with me personally.
