1Z Entertainment, the label established by P-pop sensation SB19, has announced its plans to form a new girl group. The label revealed on Saturday, June 8, that it is holding auditions for aspiring female artists to become part of its trainee program.

This initiative marks the label’s first major project since its inception.

The audition is open to Filipino females aged 18 to 21 years old. Applicants should have a talent in singing, dancing, rapping, and/or modeling, and demonstrate a strong willingness to learn.

Interested candidates are required to submit a filled-out online application form along with two one-minute audition videos showcasing their dancing and singing/rapping skills. Notably, only solo performances are allowed for the initial screening.

Applications can be submitted through 1Z Entertainment’s official website from June 8 to 29. Those who pass the initial screening will be invited to a face-to-face audition, where they will undergo further performance reviews and interviews.

The selection process will be overseen by 1Z Entertainment’s audition team, which will deliberate and make the final decisions. Candidates who make it through this rigorous process will receive a final call, after which they can prepare for contract signing.

“As a trainee, you will have the chance to work closely with experienced artists and mentors, participate in workshops and training sessions, and collaborate on various artistic projects,” the agency stated, highlighting the opportunities awaiting successful applicants.

Details regarding the final number of trainees to be accepted and the potential debut date for the new girl group have not yet been disclosed. This project represents a significant milestone for 1Z Entertainment as it embarks on its first venture into nurturing new talent.

SB19, the group behind 1Z Entertainment, announced the establishment of the label in October 2023. The group’s leader, Pablo, serves as the label's chief executive officer. In December 2023, SB19 secured ownership of its group name and logo after an amicable agreement with their former agency, ShowBT Philippines Corp.

SB19 debuted in October 2018 under ShowBT and has since gained fame with hits like “GENTO,” “Moonlight,” “MAPA,” “Freedom,” and “Go Up.” Their new endeavor with 1Z Entertainment signals a promising future for aspiring P-pop artists.
