The last season of the hit American series Young Sheldon will be full of touching and memorable family scenes as it is about to unfold the last childhood stories of Sheldon Cooper and his family in Texas.

On her social media page, actress Raegan Revord, who plays the young version of Sheldon’s sister Missy Cooper, shared some behind the scenes photos from the final season of the show.

“Last family dinner scene was an emotional one to film,” she penned.

Raegan also shared a throwback photo from the first family dinner scene of the show and a video of their final scene where she shared what she was thankful for as they ended their traditional family dinner prayer.

“We opened the show with a dinner scene where we were first introduced to the Cooper family, and they quickly became a staple in the show. Those scenes were always my favorite to film because they brought us all together and, like a real family, we got to sit around the table and eat and catch up with each other,” she added.

Raegan then ended her short but sweet tribute with: “It felt like being home with the people I love. ❤️🥺.”

Present at the dinner table was the whole Cooper family, consisting of a younger version of Sheldon (Ian Armitage); Mary (Zoe Perry), George (Lance Barber), Georgie (Montana Jordan), Meemaw (Annie Potts), and Mandy (Emily Osment).

The American coming-of-age family sitcom first aired in 2017. The series is a prequel featuring the childhood of Jim Parsons’s iconic character from Big Bang Theory, Sheldon, before he met his friends Leonard Hofstadter (Johnny Galecki), Penny Hofstadter (Kaley Cuoco), Rajeesh Koothrappali (Kunal Nayyar), Howard Wolowitz (Simon Helberg), Bernadette Rostenkowski-Wolowitz (Melissa Rauch), and his wife Amy Farrah Fowler (Mayim Bialik).

The last season is expected to highlight the time when Sheldon’s father, George, dies and tell the story of his infidelity from Sheldon’s perspective.

Deadline magazine also revealed last March that Jim Parsons and Mayim Bialik would reprise their roles in the series to help wrap up the series' storyline.

"It was beautiful. It was even more beautiful than I expected it to be," Jim shared in an interview.

He added: “What [the writers] wrote, I think, is so sweet. I think they worked Mayim and I into that last show so beautifully. I hope everyone agrees."

Reports also said that the seventh season is expected to wrap up its run on May 16 and will have another spin-off centering on the story of Sheldon’s older brother Georgie and his partner Mandy.
