At the finale media conference on Thursday, April 11 at Seda Hotel in Quezon City, the cast of Can't Buy Me Love expressed their gratitude to one another and shared how they had become a family.

“The bond that everyone in this cast has created here is so genuine and is just so full of love and talagang it’s something you would cherish in our career because this is also very rare. I am so grateful to be part of this. Mami-miss ko kayong lahat,” actress Kaila Estrada, who played Bettina Tiu in the series, said.

The patriarch of the Tiu family, actor Rowell Santiago, also added, “Naging parang pamilya na talaga kami... Tinatawag na nila yung pangalan (tawagan) nila sa show… We are so happy because of these characters, talaga na-extend yung bond namin as a family.”

Ruffa Gutierrez, who played Gina Tan, also revealed how every cast member of the show showed professionalism and dedication to their craft.

“Talagang mamimiss namin ang isa’t isa. Wala dito sa amin na isa talagang pa-star or nagbigay ng bad vibes. Everyone is just so professional. Lahat ibinibigay nila yung two hundred percent nila,” she said.

Agot Isidro, who played Cindy Tiu, also became emotional, expressing her appreciation for all the young stars they have worked with on the show.

“It’s a privilege to be working with the new generation because (they are) excellent actors and actresses. Not only on screen, but they are very, very professional, even off-screen. So, it’s a privilege to work with you,” she remarked.

Actor-comedian Ketchup Eusebio also stated, “I’m very grateful, so lucky and fortunate to be surrounded by very talented, very collaborative, very supportive group of individuals, the cast and the crew. Each of the members has their talent to offer to the people, so together we create magic talaga.”

The Kapamilya primetime series was one of the most talked about shows online as netizens were so eager to solve the mystery regarding the real culprit behind the death of Belle Mariano’s character Caroline Tiu’s mother, who was portrayed by Shaina Magdayao.

The series also showed the different aspects of love—family, friends, self and special someone.

“Itong Can’t Buy Me Love, mahirap nang kalimutan. Walong buwan na pagsasama at hindi biro ang relasyon. Pwede palang mangyari iyon. Hindi mo kadugo, pero binibigay mo iyong puso mo at lahat, itinuring mong anak. Kung ano ang pain niya, pain mo pero hindi mo siya kadugo. Ganoon ka-powerful ang love,” actress Nova Villa, who played Mamang in the series, stated.

“Labis, labis ako talagang nagpapasalamat at saludong-saludo ako sa bumuo ng istorya na ito,” she added, making the directors and cast shed tears.

The actress-comedian also revealed how, even after decades in the entertainment industry, she was able to learn something new about herself through the show.

“Sa tagal ko sa industriya, alam niyo naman ang forte ko comedy, pero ako mismo nadiscover ko ang sarili ko. Pwede pala, pwede pala ako magdrama pero hindi lang drama, kung hindi makatotohanan. Yung pinakita namin, yung binuhos naming effort, yung puso,” she emotionally said.

“Kahit tapos na ang taping, tapos na ang lahat, mananatili ang pag-ibig na nabuo sa taping na ito ng Can’t Buy Me Love… Hindi po acting ito, talagang naramdaman namin. Tumatagos sa puso ng viewers natin.”

She went on: “Dito ipinakita natin na ang pag-ibig nananaig. Pwedeng magmahal ng kahit na sino kaya maraming, maraming salamat sa lahat ng suporta."

Actor Donny Pangilinan, who played the adopted child of Nova’s Mamang Nene, Bingo, couldn’t help but be emotional too as he expressed his gratitude to the actress, whom he compared to his own lola.

“I couldn’t imagine anyone else that's more perfect than Tita Nova. Grabe po yung binigay niya po sa amin sa show. Never po siya nag-no kahit sobrang hirap po ng eksena, kitang-kita na nahirapan na siya, sige pa rin. Kahit overtime na, siya pa rin magsasabi na (ituloy),” he said.

“Tita Nova, maraming salamat po. Never ko po naranasan ito with anyone else. Sobrang malapit po ako sa Lola so marami pong salamat,” he added.
