Senior High actor Miggy Jimenez has signed up as the newest artist under Star Magic.

In an intimate media conference for Star Magic Spotlight on Wednesday, March 13 at Limbaga 77 Café Restaurant in Quezon City, the actor expressed excitement about being part of the management group.

“First of all, I’m super excited and I’m very grateful. Sobrang looking forward to ako sa mga projects na pwede pang gawin on any platform and in any genre,” Miggy stated.

He added: “I’m very happy kasi sobrang winelcome nila ako ng sobrang warm. They made me feel at home and also like siyempre be also co-managed with Cornerstone. It’s a huge [deal] and a pleasure na sa akin iyon. Malaking bagay na po sa akin iyon and I have to really take it, sa akin, seriously, and I’m really grateful. I'm really happy.”

Miggy also shared how he decided to be part of Star Magic after handling his own career for almost two years.

“We’ve been meeting kasi, like especially noong ano po, Senior High, nagpaparamdam na sila sa akin na ‘ano na? Tara. Halika na tayo! Let’s talk’ mga ganyan, ‘usap tayo’, and then I was really trying to kumbaga like recollect everything,” he recalled.

“Marami pong self talk bago po ako magsign kasi I was handling myself before for like one year and a half. Ako po yung naghahandle lahat ng inquiries so parang I was talking to myself, ‘Oh ano ba? Ready na ba ako to be in a management?'” he added.

“After this new year, it became much more clear. Naging mas malinaw na po sa akin na I feel like it’s time kasi ang hirap po maghandle ng sarili mo especially like scheduling. Sa scheduling, I hate it na maglatag ng schedule. But I also enjoy kasi parang it's more of a learning process na to get to know the ground, to get to know everything and to get to know yourself basically na kung ano yung gusto ko and ano yung kailangan ko lunukin minsan like my pride, my ego.”

He went on: “So, lahat yun kumbaga nagpakumbaba po ako to handle it on my own It was hard. Mahirap po talaga but again, it’s a learning curve. So , medyo grateful po ako na tinahak ko yung ganoong journey.”

Now being a part of the Star Magic family, Miggy said that he looks forward to his future projects as he admitted that he has been a fan of the Kapamilya network since his younger years.

“Sobrang it’s a dream come true. So, with a passion inside me, sana mas maging mag-align din and mabigyan pa ako ng ibang mga projects with genres na I hope mabigyan ko pa ng kuwento yung mga ibang tao na hindi pa nairinig,” the rising actor remarked.

“To keep on working in any way. I can siguro maybe give a chance in singing, to dance din pwede rin or hosting. Pero as of now, I can maybe focus muna or expect more on acting stuff. Feeling ko doon muna vision ko as of now pero kung may pumasok, why not? I think kaya naman i-manage.” he added when asked what were his expectations for his upcoming projects.

Miggy, who played Poch Robles in the hit Kapamilya series Senior Highhas garnered a lot of praise online for his performance alongside former child star Zaijian Jaranilla, who played Tim Castro.

Their chemistry in the series, which touches on a relatable story about the LGBTQIA+ community, created a buzz on the internet about their love team  TimPoch.

When asked who he wants to work with, the new Star Magic actor expressed a desire to work with actor Jericho Rosales and Linlang star Kaila Estrada.

“Parang gusto ko makawork naman si Kaila on screen,” he expressed.
