"We are so happy! Miss Universe Asia!" Contessa remarked in an interview with Dyan Castillejo of ABS-CBN News.

In a previous interview, the Filipino beauty queen's parents expressed their pride after watching Chelsea's performance in the preliminaries.

"I'm so proud of her. I'm so happy na naka-smile lang ako the whole time na lumalabas si Chelsea. Nagche-cheer ako. Namamaos na nga ako sa sobrang sigaw," Contessa said.

Randy said that they witnessed Chelsea's hard work and dedication throughout her training for the pageant. "Kayang-kaya niya 'yung laban. Talagang pinag-prepare-an niya 'to araw-araw nung nasa Pilipinas pa siya hanggang pumunta ng LA talagang todo practice. Alam niya sa sarili niya, kukunin niya ang korona para sa Pilipinas," he stated.

Chelsea was named the first Miss Universe Asia in the pageant's history.

The announcement was made in a press conference following the conclusion of the Miss Universe pageant.

"Maraming salamat. Mabuhay ang Pilipinas! We are making history as first Miss Universe Asia!" Chelsea stated in a video posted by the Miss Universe Philippines on their Instagram page.

Chelsea will be traveling around Asia and will be joining the Miss Universe on some trips.

Meanwhile, Miss Universe Peru was named as Miss Universe Americas, Miss Finland as Miss Universe Europe, and Miss Nigeria as Miss Universe Africa and Oceania.

Victoria Kjaer Theilvig of Denmark was crowned as Miss Universe 2024.

In a past interview with ABS-CBN News, Victoria shared what winning Miss Universe would mean to her.

"To be able to win the crown for Denmark will mean everything to me. This is what I have been working on my whole life. I want to make history not only for Denmark since we haven't had a Miss Universe [crown] before, but also make history for Europe," she remarked.
