Jesi Corcuera’s life has gone through a lot of changes, and not in the way most people would think.
He first came into the limelight through the 2006 local talent search program StarStruck where he joined as a woman and was paired with batchmate Paulo Avelino as his onscreen partner throughout the season. After transitioning as a transman in 2013, he then became reintroduced as the “Transman of the House ng Cavite” when he joined the ABS-CBN reality competition Pinoy Big Brother Lucky Season 7 in 2016. Currently in a loving and long-term relationship with his partner Camille, Jesi revealed that he is now pregnant.
In his most recent social media post last October 5, the 33-year-old former housemate shared that it has been more than five years since he had been planning to have a child through IVF.

“Sa lahat ng gagawan ko ng caption, ito na yata yung pinakanahirapan ako. Alam ko mahihirapan din kayong intindihin kung paano ito nangyari,” he wrote. “2018 nung simulan kong planuhing magkaroon ng anak. Pero that time, maraming struggles, lalo na financially and hindi rin naman biro ang gastos sa unang plano kong mag-IVF.”

Sa pagtayo ko bilang tatay ng mga anak ni Cams, maraming naging realizations. Isa na dun yung baka may chance pa pala akong magkaroon ng sarili kong anak,” he continued.

“Alam kong may mga anak akong inako kay Cams at walang mababago dun sa pagdating ni “Ninja” (nickname ng baby ko Hahaha). Maaring hindi niyo maintindihan ang sayang aking nararamdaman. Pero sa likod ng mga hiwa sa ilalim ng aking dibdib yan ang simbolo ng aking kalayaan. Kalayaan sa mapanghusgang lipunan. Para sa mga tulad kong parte ng makulay na bahaghari wag kayong titigil makamit ang inyong kalayaan at kasiyahan.”

“Kapag nag-inject ka niyan bumababa yung boses mo. Pero depende rin kasi sa effect ng gamot sa katawan ng tao. Merong mas nag-i-improve na bumaba o lumiit yung chest nila, meron namang hindi nababago. Pag nagpapa-shot po ako sa Makati Med, P13K po per shot. Hindi kasi siya puwede na isang shot lang, eh, continuous po kasi dapat yon. Maximum of 15 years po dapat. Ang isa pa sa effect ng gamot ay hindi na magkakaroon (menstruation). So, kung decided ka na mag-stop, kailangan mong magpatanggal ng matres.”
