Kapamilya star Jodi Sta. Maria made sure to give a piece of advice to her followers on social media in electing the right people into power. The Lavender Fields actress voiced her thoughts on X (formerly Twitter) account earlier this week.

Jodi’s post came in timely as the filing of the Certificate of Candidacy (COC) began this week and saw various content creators and celebrities vying for a post in the government.

“My morning thought–– we may not have control over who runs for public office, but our strength lies in wisely choosing those deserving of our trust,” she wrote.

Jodi, who’s always been vocal about her choices, reminded her followers and loyal supporters to do what is right when they vote in the upcoming 2025 national elections. 

“Make informed choices,” she ended.

Fans voiced out their thoughts in the reply section of her post and expressed their support towards the actress’ mindset in choosing the right people for the government. 

“Maging matalino at mapagmasid kung sino ang karapat dapat,” a fan wrote.

“Unfortunately most nang Pinoy walang critical thinking para sa ganito. Waley na talaga pag asa,” another netizen voiced out.

“This is so true, ate! We could only hope that at this time around, the people would be more critical at nawa’y maipanalo ang mga tunay na karapat-dapat at may malasakit sa bayan,” a fan expressed.

Jodi’s post has reached more than 6,000 reposts and 16,000 likes as of this writing. The post has also gained 380,000 views–– which came from both her followers and other X users alike.

Meanwhile, 2024 has been a busy year for the Kapamilya star. Apart from her ongoing hit series, Lavender Fields, Jodi is set to star in Untold, a horror film under film production Regal entertainment.
