Before arriving in the US to kick off her concert tour last week, Sharon Cuneta shared a heartwarming anecdote with one of her fellow passengers on an international flight. The Megastar flew out to embark on her multiple city Dear Heart concert with Gabby Concepcion scheduled in the US and Canada until November.

In her Instagram post last October 26, Sharon wrote about sitting next to a fellow Filipina during the long-haul flight to Los Angeles, California.

“MegaTeammate Angel saw this online and sent it to me! Am reposting it because it had already been posted. I met this very sweet lady, Dr. Luna, on my PAL flight to LAX. We were seatmates. And it was a pleasure flying beside her! Yes, from the time I sat down, I said "Ma'am, if I may help you with anything po, please just let me know." It is the way my parents raised me. I am very mindful and respectful of ANYONE I come across, especially if they are older than I. More than the fear that Mom & Dad might rise up from their crypts and bonk me on the head if I didn’t show respect, demonstrating what your folks taught you all your life honors them always. We then introduced ourselves, and whenever, wherever I do, I just say "Sharon." We ate, and slept with only a few exchanges. When I woke up, Dra. wasn't in her seat. When she walked back, she greeted me with a cheerful "Good Morning!" After which she immediately said "You know, I have to apologize to you! I didn't know I was seated beside the 'great' (her word not mine!☺️) Sharon Cuneta!”

Sharon explained to her social media followers that when she is out in public, she prefers to keep a low profile because she does not want to assume that everyone would be able to recognize her, especially Pinoys abroad. “Now I never expect anyone I meet to know who I am because of what I do for a living. People come from everywhere all across the world and many, even fellow Filipinos, have never heard of me or other Pinoy celebrities. I never introduce myself as a celebrity but always, as the person I am 24/7. But then those very sweet words kicked off a nice conversation that really brought me many smiles. I am happy to have met you, Dr. Luna. And if and when I become 87 (!), I pray that I be just as sharp, strong, and beautiful as you! I will never forget you! And I will happily push your luggage cart again anytime. God bless you always and lots of love and hugs and kisses!💖💖💖🙏🏻🥰😘🤗,” she shared.

The Dear Heart concert last year sparked excited with fans of the ‘80s love team of Sharon and Gabby which eventually led to the clamor for them to bring the show abroad this year. The former couple were initially planned to do a reunion film, but this did not push though as explained by Sharon in 2018 when the news first broke out about their return to the big screen. Sharon also references her only daughter with Gabby, KC Concepcion in her post.

”Just for the record, I agreed to his requested billing. I really didn't care. What I cared about was that this, what he called our "legacy" to KC, would be done. FOR HER. Wala sa akin ang problema. They can lie and make up all the stories they want. But I was willing to do it and swallow what was left of my pride for KC. My life's work and name will never mean more to me than KC. But I can't do the movie when my schedule and professionalism are constantly toyed with. Tapos iba ang mababasa mo. Nakakapagod. So never mind what "legacy" was supposed to be for KC. I said yes to all demands na. Pero sobra naman ang power-tripping ng mga tao. Not worth it. Ilang beses na ako naoffend. Why naman will I allow it? And since KC was 2 ako lang naman lahat... so she will surely have MY legacy. I hope he gives her something, anything for once in her life. The end," she wrote.
