Former MYX VJ and singer Karel Marquez is expecting a new bundle of joy with her non-showbiz husband, Sean Farinas.

On her Instagram page, Karel shared a carousel of photos from their family trip to Hong Kong, showcasing her baby bump.

“Baby moon in HK. 🇭🇰 🤰 Just when we thought '4' completed our family,” she said.

Karel added: “Here’s another blessing to our growing family, my baby #5!”

In her hashtags, Karel revealed that she is in her 13th week of pregnancy, and they are now a family of seven.

Celebrities such as Yasmin Kurdi, Melissa Ricks, Sam YG, Melissa Mendez, Gretchen Fullido, and family friends quickly reacted to Karel's wonderful news.

“Wow, congrats!!!! ❤️” Kapamilya actress Nikki Valdez said.

Actress Bubble Paraiso also said, “That’s why you werent drinking in his bday!!! 😅.”

Kapamilya actress Barbie Imperial remarked, “The secret is out!!! 🥰🥰🥰”

“Wooooow Congrats Kar! Happy for u guys! Ur such a sexy momma!” a family friend expressed.

Karel and Sean have been together since 2012 and tied the knot in December 2016. After suffering a miscarriage in 2017, the couple welcomed their firstborn, Kobe, in June 2019.

Karel has two other children, Keiley and Kyler, from her previous relationship with Arman de Guzman.

In June last year, Karel gave birth to her fourth son, Kaiden Andrei.

“Our newest love as a fam of 6.... Our Kaden Andrei - such a blessing, our precious baby. Thank you, everyone for your well wishes. We love you all,” she said, thanking all those who wished her well and prayed for her safe delivery.

In a previous interview with fellow MYX VJ hosts, Luis Manzano, Karel shared how her life changed after becoming a wife and a mom.

“My life before was totally different without kids, so imagine having four? It’s not easy, but I try to manage naman. Thank God I have house angels also to help me when I’m working, but I just have to really do balance my time,” Karel said.

She also revealed that she and her husband wanted to have another child.

“Actually we kind of planned it, me and my husband, because we have decided na okay four kids na. To be honest, gusto ko pa ng isa para basketball team,” she remarked.

“But I think now that I’m here, I have my family and I’ve been through this and that, ups and downs.”

Besides wanting another child, Karel admitted she has plans to return to show business.

“For me na lang, it’s never too late to start again or go back to what I wanna do… Namiss ko yung pag-arte kasi I sing and host (na noon) pero namiss ko (lalo) yung pag-arte,” she added.

“I think right now I’m very content with whatever I have  right now. I couldn’t ask for anything more in terms of the blessings I have in the house, my husband and kids.”

She continued, “In terms of going back to work na lang, so I can provide for my family and save up for my family.”
