K-Pop group ZEROBASEONE performed a cover of "Dilaw" by Maki at their Manila concert.

The group surprised their Filipino fans as they sang the hit OPM song at the Manila leg of their TIMELESS concert held at the Mall of Asia Arena on Saturday, October 12.

"Dami surprise ngayong araw ah 💛⭐️," the singer posted on social media platform X.

Fans online were also quick to express how proud they are of Maki.

"I am so proud of how far you've come, Maki! Naririnig ka ng maraming tao from different parts of the world!" one fan commented.

Back in July, Maki made history with "Dilaw" as it became the first No. 1 song on the Billboard Philippines Hot 100 chart.

"Celebrating this along with all the OPM artists that are on top of the charts! I'm just so thrilled and glad that OPM is thriving, very much alive, and that I get to share my part as an artist in this generation of Filipino music. Mabuhay ang OPM!" the singer posted on his Instagram Stories upon achieving the milestone.

He added: "Being at the top is only the bonus. Maraming salamat sa pagtangkilik ng musikang Pilipino!"

In a previous interview with ABS-CBN Entertainment, Maki shared that "Dilaw" is a song about self-love.

"I actually wrote this song for myself, para sa batang ako na laging naghahanap ng love sa ibang tao. Yung sobrang bigay siya nang bigay ng pagmamahal tapos hindi niya nakukuha pabalik. Now, I realize na after so many heartbroken moments in my life, di ko na mahal yung sarili ko. Dapat yung dilaw natin unang-una sa lahat ay yung sarili natin,” Maki relayed.

Maki collaborated with Nameless Kids’ lead vocalist, Nhiko Sabiniano, to co-write the track. Nhiko also took on the role of producer for the song. Maki is currently signed under Tarsier Records, a label of ABS-CBN Music.

In May, the music video for Maki's song "Dilaw" was released, featuring BINI member Maloi as his onscreen partner. As of this writing, the video has amassed over 32 million views on YouTube.
