Comedian and It's Showtime co-host Vice Ganda recently apologized to fellow co-host Anne Curtis for a joke he made during the show's January 20th episode.

The joke was related to his endorsement of a fast-food chain.

Both Vice and Anne are endorsers of two separate fast-food chains in the Philippines.

He then took to his social media account on X (formerly Twitter) to publicly apologize. He explained that he had no intention of violating Anne's endorsement contract and expressed regret for any offense caused by his joke.

“I put Anne in an uncomfortable situation. Wrong. Sorry,” Vice said.

During one of the segments in the program, Vice candidly asked Anne to repeat some of the words used in the former’s endorsements.

The latest joke of the comedian has gone viral on social media, with mixed reactions from netizens. Some people criticized Vice's joke, saying that it could have compromised Anne's deal with a local fast-food chain.

Fans of both hosts, on the other hand, expressed their hope that there was no bad blood between them despite what happened.

However, Anne reassured their supporters that everything was alright between them and that it was just a "lapse of judgment" on her part.

“Morning everyone. Guys, kalma. No need for such negative energy. Vice and I are fine. It was a lapse of judgment on both sides. At least we can move forward and be keyrfuul. Ganyan ang biriun backstage but syempre dapat iba pag on air. Kaya kalma. It’s a beautiful day. Gawin na lang #BidaAngSaya every day! ✨HAHAHAHA,” Anne wrote.

Vice reposted Anne's tweet and sincerely apologized, explaining what happened backstage.

The comedian clarified to the Madlang People on X that he was just trying to make everyone laugh.

“It was our usual “brandagulan” moment na late nya narealize so nasabi nya ung tagline ng di nya namalayan. I apologized to her And pinagtawanan n lng namin. Our sisterhood will always be Nice Ganda,” Vice said.

“Pero ganun talaga sa comedy man o sa real life talagang hit and miss. And we’ll just have to try again,” he added.
