Dawn Zulueta’s son, Jacob Lagdameo, has officially entered college.

On Instagram on Sunday, September 3, the proud mom shared clips showing her and her husband, Anthony Lagdameo, bidding farewell to Jacob, who will be studying at the renowned Fordham University in New York City.

“Thank you for coming to see us one last time before we flew back home, Son @jacobolagdameo. Even though it was a tearful goodbye, we have peace of mind & are excited for you in your new home at @fordhamuniversity. Go out there, study well, have fun, and make many good friends along the way. We love you so much, Jacob,” she wrote.

The actress also shared a prayer for her son.

“Heavenly Father, remind us of the way You have protected, guided, loved, and provided for us as parents and for our child’s well-being. We trust that You will do all of that again this season because You are true and faithful in our lives. Amen,” she said.

In a video she posted last week, Dawn and her husband were seen dropping off Jacob at Fordham University for his freshman year.

“Farewell drop-off today. Big THANK YOU to everyone in the welcoming committee at @fordhamuniversity for the very warm & reassuring welcome we received this week,” she said.

“We will miss you, Son @jacobolagdameo. But we’re never far away… Papa and I are so proud of you,” she told Jacob.

Jacob, 17, finished senior high school at International School Manila last May.

On his graduation day, Dawn took to social media to share her touching message for her firstborn child.

“I now have to keep reminding myself that it’s time to let you go so you can begin to spread your wings. But don’t worry because I’ll never outgrow being your doting (worry wart) Mama. I’ll never be too far away, too busy, or too tired if you should need me,” she said. “Keep being good natured & respectful; these strong traits of yours will carry you well through life. I love you from here to eternity. Fly and soar high, my Son. Keep making us proud.. and may our Heavenly Lord bless and keep you.”

Aside from Jacob, Dawn and her husband also have a daughter named Ayisha Madlen, who turned 14 last June.
