Aside from owning two restaurants, the actor shared that he also ventured into the construction business.

"I feel like 'yun 'yung gusto kong pasukin kasi nu'ng kino-construct 'yung mga restaurants ko, na-realize ko na kaya ko palang gawin ito nang mag-isa ako. Bakit pa ako kukuha ng contractor? So dahil doon, naisipan kong gumawa ng construction company," he said.

He highlighted that the way he approaches his life is by embracing the opportunities that come and putting his best foot forward.

"I feel like gano'n naman 'yung buhay e. You just never know kung saan ka pupunta. Just taking all the opportunity that you can get and accepting it. Galingan mo na lang lagi," he said.

In a previous interview with Karen Davila, David shared that it was his family who inspired him to pursue entrepreneurship.

"I grew up in a Chinese high school and as we know, 'yung mga Chinese, into business talaga. And I also realized na showbiz is not forever," he said.

He went on: "I just like creating things, and I like solving problems kaya siguro 'yung business, sobrang challenging siya for me, but I love challenges kasi."

In the same interview, David said that his first business was a boxing gym.

"'Yung sa boxing gym, umutang ako sa dad ko. Di naman ganun kalaki kasi I raised my own money rin, siguro mga P600,000," he said.

In 2022, David's series Maria Clara at Ibarra further catapulted him to fame. He played the role of Fidel in the show.

The series paved the way for his love team with his co-star in the show, Barbie Forteza. They have been collectively called as the BarDa love team.
