Kapamilya actress Jolina Magdangal shared with her followers on Instagram how emotional she felt after sending off her husband Mark Escueta and their son Pele to the airport earlier this week. Mark is set to go on a concert tour with his band, Rivermaya, in the US for more than a month. 

Jolina confessed that she has been crying knowing that they’ll be separated for quite some time.

“Kahit anong isipin ko at kahit anong gawin ko para mabusy nang sa ganun hindi ko masyado maisip… pero hindi kinaya. Ilang gabi na ako umiiyak ng pasikreto para mabawasan bigat ng dibdib ko para pag dumating itong araw na ito kayang kaya ko na di humagulgol… pero hindi ko talaga kinaya,” she said.

In her post, she revealed that this will be the first time that her son will be far away from her. Jolina added that this will be a good time for Pele to grow on his own as well. 

“Ang laging dasal ko ay sa araw araw na hindi kami magkasama at hindi ko siya maaakap, sana mag grow ang heart nya na mas lalo pa siyang maging mabuting bata, mas mapagmahal at maalaga, mas lalong maging creative, mas grateful at lalong lalo na mas lalo pang lumago ang JOY sa kanyang puso,” she continued.

The 44-year-old celebrity mom added in her post that she’s happy that she still has her daughter, Vika, around who has been comforting her ever since Mark and Pele left. To end her post, Jolina asked the fellow parents who follow her on Instagram how they deal with the separation anxiety.

Some of her followers empathized with her as they could relate to the feeling of having a child leave their homes. Netizens shared their stories and gave some tips on how to deal with it in the comments section.

Meanwhile, Mark has been posting some updates about their father and son bonding in the US on his Instagram account. He added how he has been missing Jolina and their daughter as well. 

“No matter what, this is gonna be the best Tour kasi kasama kita, anak. Ikaw secret weapon #2. A little less lonely and a LOT more fun 💙 We miss you Mama & Vika,” Mark wrote.
