Actress Cristine Reyes revealed on Tuesday, July 4, that her father, Romeo Reyes, has been hospitalized.

In an Instagram post, Christine shared her touching message for her father as she posted photos of herself with him at the hospital.

“‘The righteous man walks in his integrity; His children are blessed after them’ - Proverbs 20:7,” she wrote.

“I know I am blessed because of you, Daddy. You raised me well. Sorry kung masyado akong busy, Daddy. You know I’m always here for life. Mahal kita,” she said.

The actress, who stars in the TV5 series Minsan Pa Nating Hagkan Ang Nakaraan, said she was in the middle of taping when she found out that her father was hospitalized.

“Pinag-alala mo ko. Namaga mata ko tuloy hindi matakpan ng make-up sa taping. Salamat sa mababait na mga kasama ko sa taping at inalagaan din nila ako ng walang pagtatanong,” she said.

Cristine did not reveal the reason for her father’s hospitalization, but according to her post, her dad is currently confined at World Citi Medical Center in Quezon City.

Meanwhile, fans and loved ones of Cristine flooded her post with positive messages, including her boyfriend, Marco Gumabao, who wrote, “Get well soon,” along with a heart emoji.

Cristine, 34, went public with her relationship with Marco, 28, in April. The two have known each other since they worked together on the ABS-CBN teleserye Tubig at Langis in 2016. However, it was only in recent months that they became close and started dating.

The couple is set to star in the romance drama Minsan Pa Nating Hagkan Ang Nakaraan alongside Cesar Montano. The show will premiere on TV5 this coming Monday, July 10.
