"I enjoyed this time with you so much and I will be going home to work even harder and I will come back to see you. Until then please be happy and healthy. Thank you for this amazing night," he stated.

In an interview with the Philippine media prior to his fan meeting on Sunday, Kang expressed his excitement to be in the country for the first time to meet his Filipino supporters.

"I feel like I have been receiving so much love but I haven't been able to give back just because of the situation lately. I have not able to come and to see the Filipino fans. So to finally be here and to be able to do that, I am very happy, a little nervous, but very much looking forward to it," he said at the press conference.

The actor also shared that he loves the weather in the country and the mangoes that he was able to try.

"This is the kind of weather that I like. It's been breezy and pretty cool. I [also] really like the dried mango," he said.

When asked what his favorite role is, the actor responded: "Right now I am shooting Sweet Home and in this show we are shooting a storyline that is really detached from reality and it is a character that I am pouring a lot of my time into right now and a lot of my energy so right now the character that is closest to me is Hyun-soo of Sweet Home."

On being dubbed as the "Son of Netflix," Kang said that he is thankful to have worked with the streaming platform on various projects.

"I think it is really fascinating. I am grateful. They feel like family because they've been with me since the beginning of my career and every time I go to Netflix to shoot whatever project is ongoing, I always enjoy my work with people familiar to me," he stated.

The South Korean actor was also asked on where does he attribute the success of his shows.

I am working on Sweet Home as well so I hope you look forward to that and I am grateful for the encouragement that I continue to receive."
