“Grateful,” posted actress Lotlot de Leon on her 51st birthday.

This one word sums up the many blessings that have come her way in time for her birthday. After years of rough waters in her personal life, Lotlot’s life is finally sailing smoothly. She is very much loved by her husband, Fadi El Soury, and her children.Lotlot de Leon reunited with her biological father in time for her 51st birthday

She has also rebuilt her relationship with her mother, Nora Aunor.

Lotlot even posted a sweet photo showing them with all smiles during a call together.

“Love you ma ♥️,” she captioned her post.

It is no secret that Lotlot is the adopted daughter of Nora and Christopher de Leon. Despite this, she said that she never felt that she was treated differently by her parents or her siblings.

“I have always accepted that I was adopted because I didn't feel... Mommy didn't treat me differently from how she treated Ian,” shared Lotlot. “Even my dad, Daddy Boyet, he never treated me less than he treated Ian.”

“Kumbaga, kung paano nina mahal si Ian ganu'n din ang naramdaman ko na pagmamahal nila sa akin,” she explained further. “So hindi ko naramdaman na iba ako sa kapatid ko.”

In her Instagram post last March 20, Lotlot recalled how she found out about being adopted.

“As far back as I can remember, I already knew I was adopted, not because of my parents but because of people around my Mama Guy and Daddy Boyet,” she began.

At first, Lotlot didn’t really understand what being adopted meant exactly, until her mom explained it to her.

“She said the difference between me and Ian was that my brother came from her stomach, I was a gift from above,” she shared.

Lotlot admitted that she felt sad at that time because she wanted so much to be her parents’ real child.

“Cried for hours after that. Not because I didn’t know who my real parents were but because I wanted to be like Ian too, na galing din sa stomach niya because I love my mom so much gusto ko totoong anak din nila ako ni dad,” said Lotlot.

While she did not harbor ill feelings towards her biological parents, she was curious about them.

“Sino sila? What’s their story?” she wondered.  “And tbh (to be honest) I prayed to meet them one day. Gusto ko din sila makilala.”

Little did she know that she would receive a positive answer to her prayer many years later.

“Out of luck or destiny I was at the municipal hall of Olongapo and someone passing by said.. ‘Lot nung baby ka, sa amin ka nakatira,’” she recalled.

Lotlot knew she was born in Olongapo, so she ventured to ask if they had any information on who her biological father was. As luck would have it, she was able to find out enough information to start her search.

“Sabe ko suntok sa buwan, I’ll ask kung may alam sila sa totoong tatay ko. I was able to speak to someone who accommodated me and since alam ko na name ng father ko, I gave the details of the information I had. Few days after that I was sent his full name, the name of his wife and daughter.. my ate,” she shared.

After searching online, she finally got hold of his email address and decided to send him a letter introducing herself. Lotlot knew it was a long shot, but figured it was worth a try.

“In my head that time, try lang naman..kung hindi nya ako sagutin..okay lang. Hindi ko na nilagay sa isip ko that he would,” she admitted. “ I wrote… ’Hi Mr. Olson, my name is Lot de Leon, my biological mom’s name is Eva Rodriguez.. are you my father?”

To her surprise, not only did her biological father reply to her email, he actually knew who she was.

“Yes, I know who you are,” wrote back her biological father. “I’ve always known about you I carried you in my arms when you were born.”

Alongside her story, Lotlot posted a photo of herself and her Papa.

“So here I am standing side by side with my Papa and I’m grateful in many ways. Forgiveness, humility, and prayers goes a long way,” she said.

A day after the post, she also posted a reel filled with their bonding moments together: fishing, being with her husband and children, and just spending time together.

“Each of us has a story. Marami din tayong plano sa buhay. Pero ang plano pa din ni Papa God ang mangingibabaw,” said Lotlot.

“There is no sadness, fear, or regrets in her heart. Only gratitude.

“If not for the decisions they made.. the time they made it. I wouldn’t have the people I love most in my life too now,” she said. “Looking at the glass half full with gratitude. Always.”
