Bloody Crayons


Join a group of graduating film students who visit an island where a series of unfortunate events followed them after playing the infamous game Bloody Crayons. The film reveals secrets and overflowing emotions as their friendship starts to break while trying to figure out who is the culprit among them.

This 2017 thriller film is a book adaptation by Wattpad author Argonza, is directed by Topel Lee, starring Janella Salvador, Elmo Magalona, Sofia Andres, Diego Loyzaga, Jane Oineza, Maris Racal, Yves Flores, Empoy Marquez, and Ronnie Alonte.


 

The Healing

 

This 2012 Filipino supernatural horror film follows the story of Seth, played by Star for All Seasons Vilma Santos, and a group of people who visit Manang Elsa, a popular faith healer, to seek help after the latter healed their family members’ serious ailments after seemingly having no hope to being cured. However, the healer refused to perform any more "healings" making them beg for her to perform one more, not knowing the healer's warning about having to repay everything which has been taken. Although everyone was able to be healed, a series of mysterious events happened to each one of them.

 

The Healing was co-written and directed by Chito S. Roño starring Vilma Santos and Kim Chiu, as well as Janice de Belen, Pokwang, Robert Arevalo, Mark Gil, Carmi Martin, Cris Villanueva, Daria Ramirez, and Martin del Rosario. It also has appearances by Jhong Hilario, Nikki Valdez, Mon Confiado, Joel Torre, and Mercedes Cabral.


 

Magandang Hatinggabi

 

This 1998 comedy horror anthology directed by Laurenti Dyogi has been digitally restored. Divided into three episodes, it tells different stories of urban legends and scary encounters.

 

The first episode Killer Van tells the story about a family who unknowingly bought a haunted vehicle. Eula Valdes, Allan Paule, Angelica Panganiban, Alwyn Uytingco, Lorena Garcia, Fatima Vargas, and Andy Bais were the cast members fo this episode.

 

Angelika Dela Cruz, Jericho Rosales, and award-winning actress Jaclyn Jose were the main cast members for the second episode Kuba, the story of a hunchbacked woman that harbors a dark secret.

 

The third episode tells the story of the inn owner Fatman, played by actor Nonie Buencamino, and the horrible truth about him. Also in the cast are Marvin Agustin, Diether Ocampo, Mylene Dizon, Bojo Molina, and Laura James.

 

 

Maria Leonora Teresa

 

This 2014 Star Cinema horror film was directed by the late Wenn Deramas and starred Iza Calzado, Zanjoe Marudo, and Jodi Sta. Maria. It tells the story of different families who lost their daughters after a tragic incident. In order to cope with their grief, a psychiatrist offers three life-sized dolls who looked like their children to the parent. As they gradually overcome their pain, spooky events started to happen around them disregarding that the dolls might have something to do with it.

Fun fact about the film is that it was named after Guy (Nora Aunor) and Pip’s (Tirso Cruz) doll which the veteran actors considered as their daughter.



Oda sa Wala

The award-winning 2018 film Oda sa Wala starred Pokwang. Directed and written by Dwein Ruedas Baltazar, this film follows the story of Sonya, an old maid and manager of a funeral parlor, who out of her loneliness, adopts an unclaimed corpse which she dresses up.
