Heart Evangelista took to social media to celebrate her husband Francis “Chiz” Escudero as he turned another year older on Tuesday, October 10.

Posting photos of them together on her Instagram page, the actress and fashion icon expressed her love for her husband, describing the Senator and former Sorsogon Governor as “my rock and my constant.” 

“Happy birthday,” she wrote. “I love doing life with you.”

On Instagram Stories, Heart also shared clips from Chiz’s simple birthday celebration with their family and close friends.

Heart and Chiz have been together since 2012. The pair met through late Senator Miriam Defensor-Santiago. They tied the knot in Balesin on February 15, 2015.

Recalling the first time they met, Heart said, “In the beginning, parang hindi niya ako bet. He was just being very nonchalant and chill. We spoke and spoke. We really got to know each other and I thought he was just going to be a friend."

“I got to know him and he was more than I imagined him to be. How you see him on our adulting videos, that’s exactly how he was in real life. So I really like that,” she said. “I just thought that he had this sort of gravitas and something about him, like he was so dignified and so calm.”

Last year, rumors surfaced that Heart and Chiz were going through a rough patch in their marriage after Heart dropped her husband’s surname from her social media pages.

In a vlog she posted in September 2022, the actress admitted that she was going through some personal struggles.

"I’m not going to deny, I’ve been going through some personal struggles like I feel a lot of pressure in my life, and basically now, I’m really in a search of just being happy," Heart said at the time.

The couple remained silent about the breakup rumors until early 2023, when they rang in the New Year together and went on a trip to Japan with Chiz’s kids.

Earlier, Heart expressed her appreciation for Chiz for supporting her dreams and loving her unconditionally.

“Appreciation post for this man I call my husband. Through hell and beyond you have stood by my side… and I thought I knew what unconditional was,” she wrote in a previous post.

“Today we are finally on the same chapter. It’s a new ERA,” she added.
