As one of the featured artists for Maalaala Mo Kaya’s Feb-ibig offerings last month, Karina Bautista said she enjoyed the challenge of portraying the love story of a couple from different social classes who meet while working together in a fast food restaurant.

“Dun sa MMK ‘Love Ko ‘To’ episode ay naka-sentro talaga yung story kina John at Theza unlike sa Viral Scandal na madaming iniikutang kuwento and it focuses siyempre dun sa viral scandal na theme and title ng kuwento. So doon si Pogs at Bea very high school and puppy love so cute lang talaga. This story naman is may pagka mature and makikita talaga yung transition. Iba naman yung mga dynamics ng mga tao namin dito so iba iba ding emosyon ang nabigay namin,” she shared.

“Yung partnership naman namin ay hindi madali as love team and as friends. So actually nasabi ko yun more recently lang kasi lalo na nagkakaroon kami ng mga ganitong opportunity na binibigay sa amin. Parang kaming dalawa we would want to do our best together. Ayaw namin i-give up yung meron na kami na ibinibigay na sa amin na opportunity so i-push na namin ito. Now we have Viral Scandal, we have MMK, and may hinahanda pa sa aming bago. So parang yes why not make the most out of the blessings given and love naman namin yung friendship namin and yung ginagawa namin so laban na,” she revealed.

“We’re enjoying the process etong kung nasaan kami ngayon. Parang ang dali kasi sa puso knowing you’re both in it for work, for success, for a dream na you both want to achieve. So parang nandun pa muna kami since starting pa lang kami. Parang gusto talaga muna namin mag-focus doon,” she said.

“Everyone has a chance naman. lahat naman may pag-asa. Bakit naman ako hihindi? He’s just a very genuine person and makikita mo yun in his actions and reactions towards people. Nandun yung very raw in a sense so alam mong yung ibibigay niyang emotions sa iyo ay totoo yun talaga,” she added.

Nagbibigay talaga ako ng oras sa mga taong gusto ko, mahal ko kasi yung time para sa akin is very important sa akin kaya pag binigay mo sa akin. It means your very special or I value you, ganun,” she revealed.
