“It was (K-Love creator) Corinna Vistan. She really had this awesome elevator pitch. She was really passionate about it and I feel like when you work in something like this, it’s also physically demanding of your time. But when you’re so passionate about it, it’s something that becomes contagious and you start getting excited. I had just also kind of had a break because I also had my second son and then the script came and as I was reading it you’d smile because it was very witty and short and something that’s really modern and relatable. It wasn’t an over exaggerated drama. So I had never played anything like this so that was really what convinced me,” she recalled during the K-Love presscon earlier this month.

“I think I can relate a lot to this character because I am married and I do have kids. It’s definitely a different life kind of situation that you’re in. In the show, there’s a part where we’re in high school and it kind of shows how Sheila my character and Tish (played by Iza Calzado) were in high school and now that we’re married and we’re kind of like having an identity crisis as well because you doubt if you’ve made the right decisions of not. I think I can relate to that in a way but also it’s different from what I played before that was more of the sexy, not married, not so wholesome character. But I liked it because obviously the script and also just working with Viu in general has really set the bar of how I want to work moving forward on set,” she explained.

When she first read her script, Belle said she immediately liked her latest role and the freedom that directors gave her while shooting. “I found the script really funny and witty and relatable and I really was excited to play a character like this because to bring this character to life, I felt like I could do it (laughs). So yes I was game. So when we did it, I asked if I could do some adlibs and she allowed me to kind of give my take on Sheila,” she added. Also part of the cast are Iza Calzado, Jake Cuenca, Sue Ramirez, and Gabby Padilla.
