Now that he and fellow Pinoy Big Brother Otso housemate Ashley Del Mundo are officially part of the Star Magic family starting this year, Tan Roncal said he is happy for this next step in their career.

“Grateful ako kasi hindi ko ini-expect na magiging part ako ng Star Magic and blessed kasi ayan dati pini-pray ko lang ito na magiging part ako of a bigger platform. Gusto ko na may matutunan sa ibang artist sa Star Magic,” he shared during the Star Magic Black Pen Day media con.

When fans started shipping their love team known as “AshTan” in 2019, Tan hopes he and Ashley can be given more opportunities to work together through Star Magic.

“I pray talaga na more projects sa amin na nakikita kami as a love team na good itong AshTan, mag-go-grow sila. Hopefully one day magiging isa din sila sa sikat. And gusto ko rin makipag-work kay Ashley kasi napaka comfortable ko sa kanya. If ever na magka-project kami magiging madali lang kasi napag-uusapan namin and matuturuan namin ang isa’t isa,” he said.

Tan also shared how he and Ashley have changed through the years.

“Ang difference with Ashley kasi dati wala pa siyang confidence, nahihiya siya, nag-ta-takot siya mag-take risks, na-i-insecure pa siya kasi hindi pa siya marunong mag-Tagalog. And ngayon naman nakaka-proud siya tingnan. Ina-achieve niya talaga dreams niya and nagiging confident na siya. Gusto na niya mag-learn ng other things and improve ng improve katulad ng Tagalog niya. Dahil dati parang hindi pa siya marunong and ngayon parang nagiging fluent na siya,” he said.

The new Star Magic talent admitted he also used to lack confidence before when he first joined PBB.

“Napakamahiyaing tao and parang gusto ko lang talaga sa comfort zone ko. Ngayon naman sa mindset ko gusto ko i-prove sa tao na parang hindi lang ako basta basta. Gusto ko i-prove sa kanila na kaya ko. Gaya ng BL, kaya ko in-accept yun para ma-prove kung anong na-su-suit na role sa akin and may confidence na ako ngayon and hindi na ako natatakot mag-take ng risks,” he added.
