The 2020 South Korean romantic-drama series Forest made buzz in May 2019 after it was revealed that Park Hae-jin and Jo Bo-ah flew to Manila to shot some scenes on location for the show.

While most of the scenes were shot in Gangwon Province in South Korea, a few important scenes were shot in Manila.

In case you missed it, episodes 19 and 20 in the series see Kang San-hyeok and Jung Young-jae at Okada Manila and SM Mall of Asia’s By The Bay Amusement Park.

Forest featured touristy spots such as the Ilustrado Restaurant, Manila Cathedral, and the Puerta Real Gardens shot inside the historic Walled City of Manila, Intramuros.

On Instagram, Philippine-based Korean TV personality and radio host Grace Lee, who plays a medical expert in the series, previously shared photos and videos from the set of the show.

Lee, who marks her acting debut through the said series, did a scene with Jo Bo-ah’s character. She also serves as one of its co-producers.

Meanwhile, a netizen named Gia Allana shared photos from the series, identifying each of the locations shot in the country.

“follows the story of a guy who is part of special rescue team named Kang San-hyuk (Park Hae-jin) and a female surgeon named Jung Young-jae (Jo Bo-ah) who meet at a mysterious forest — discovering each other’s secrets along the way.
