Singer Jaya took to social media to share her birthday message for her late mother, Elizabeth Ramsey, who would have turned 89 on Thursday, December 3.

In an Instagram post, Jaya shared photos of her late mom, who was dubbed as the country's "Queen of Rock and Roll," and expressed how much she misses her.

"Happy birthday. 89th mo na sana pero ok lang, mas masaya naman sa heaven... You will be eternally young and alive with Jesus," said Jaya.

"I miss you everyday. The older I become, mas na-rerealize ko na lahat ng ginawa mo for me ay sakto at tama. Sana lang naging mas mahaba pa ang pagsasama natin.. .but itchokeeeey. Siyempre nami-miss ko rin yung mga pangmalakasang sexy outfits mo. Ikaw lang 'yan eh. I love you... We love you," she added.

Last October, Jaya marked the fifth death anniversary of her mother, who passed away months after she suffered a stroke and had to be rushed to the Philippine Heart Center.

In her tribute to the veteran performer, Jaya remembered the positivity and kindness of her mother.

"Na-miss lang kita, Ma. You always carried through life as if everything is so laughable. You never showed people negative vibes. People smiled whenever you walked into any room. Bawat labas mo ng bahay, putok ang makeup mo parang laging may production number. Rich or poor, their hearts you captured," she said.

"You treated everyone equally. Walang masamang tinapay sa iyo. Lahat ng klase ng tao, minahal mo. Kaya naman lubos ang pagpapasalamat ko sa Panginoon na ikaw ang aking naging ina at ama. Ang aking tatag, tapang, pang-unawa, paniniwala sa Diyos at pagmamahalal at pakikisama sa kapwa, pagkanta, lahat lahat itinuro mo sa akin. Masaya ako na kasama mo si Jesus. Magkikita rin tayong muli, pero 'wag muna ngayon ha Ma?!? Many people miss you. I miss you soooooooo much. Love you forever," she added.
