After signing with Viva Artists Agency last January, Angelica Yap aka “Pastillas Girl” said she is still trying to get used to being in showbiz. The former It’s Showtime guest said she still gets star struck sometimes when meeting other celebrities. 'Actually hindi pa rin sanay eh kasi sa totoo lang sobrang bago pa rin ako. So nakaka-intimidate pa rin yung ibang artista tapos nakakatakot kasi dati nun sanay lang ako na puro reality. Kung ano man yung mangyari today it’s a surprise dun sa Showtime. Pero nung nag-Viva ako natuto ako kung pano um-acting and yung latest nga yung dance cover ko ng ‘Work’ ni Rihanna,” she told Push.com.ph

The 21-year-old YouTube sensation also wanted to clarify that she is not taking on a sexier image based on the videos and photos she had recently posted on her social media accounts. 'No, hindi po siguro. Summer lang, mainit kaya nag-swimming lang ako at nag-post lang ako. Pero para hindi ma-misinterpret ng ibang tao na baka sabihin nila na nag-se-sexy na ako kaya nakatalikod (laughs),” she explained. Until now, Angelica said she is still being called Pastillas Girl when people recognize her in public. 'Nag-sa-start na makilala na nila ako through my own name kasi yung ibang tao they call me na Angel or Angelica. Pero yung Pastillas girl I think hindi na yun mawawala sa pangalan ko. Okay lang na yun pa rin tawag sa akin. Sanay na ako,” she added.

Angelica says she is not in any hurry to snag any big acting roles just yet. 'Kasi nung last time ang mga nakukuha kong projects supporting roles. Well I think maganda rin yun eh. Kasi sa totoo lang naniniwala ako sa tamang timing at saka alam ko naman na bago pa lang talaga ako so I don’t expect naman talaga na project na bida. At saka sabi nga nila, maganda yung nag-sa-start ka sa bottom at unti-unti kang umaangat kasi di ba if you’re on the bottom there’s nowhere else to go but up,” she said.

After her stint as a recurring guest on Showtime last year, Angelica said she can’t help but miss the show and its hosts. She even admitted she would love to return for a guest appearance someday. 'Sana po. Gusto ko kasi sila Ate Vice Ganda na-mi-miss ko rin naman. Kasi si Ate Vice yung lagi ko talagang kausap nun offcam. Yung mga advice niya talagang tinatanong niya ako kung kamusta yung araw ko, kung okay lang ba ako. Kunyari nung time na nagkikita kami ng ex ko talagang comforting may makakausap ka na totoo ring tao,” she shared.

After her stint on Showtime where she had found her Mr. Pastillas Richard Parojinog, Angelica said they have remained good friends until now. 'We have mga rakets together pa rin naman and of course solid kasi yung ChardGel. Pero the good thing about the ChardGel fans is that they support us din as individuals. So kung may project siya and kung may projects ako na kung matambal man siya sa iba or ako naman magkaroon ako ng love team na iba they would understand,” she said.

When asked if she was dating anyone new, the aspiring actress at first opted to give a general answer. 'Aaay! (laughs) Wala, wala akong dine-date,” she said. But when asked if she is being inspired by someone right now, Angelica could not hide a big smile. 'Nag-re-reflect naman yan sa glow pero mahirap kasi kapag hindi ka pa sure. Pero yung kilig! (laughs) Okay sige, I promise kapag may na-picture-an kayo na kasama ako, interviewhin niyo ako ulit. Aamin ako sa Push (laughs)!” she promised.
