The recent reopening marks a new chapter, as they welcome back patrons and guests who missed spending their me-time inside the Manila’s OG spa haven.

Their Fort branch villas welcome guests with an aromatic and fresh environment that perfectly quiets the mind. They retained its sauna/steam bath, massage beds, and an indoor-outdoor tub that may be used before each session. Guests can also choose their own blend of massage oils with floral, green tea, sweet orange + lemongrass + peppermint variants to name some. Being situated inside one of the metro’s central business districts, there is the inevitable background noise from external factors, so I highly recommend bringing a pair of noise-canceling earplugs. Once used, the outside busyness can be quickly shut out.

I tried their newest service, the candle oil massage. I was a bit hesitant since I was afraid I wouldn’t be able to handle the heat, but the warmth of the melted hot oil felt velvety smooth on the skin. The sensory experience of the melted candle oil and the perfectly pressured caresses from the massage instantly provided deep relief and a mood lift.

For those who want a quick but still highly therapeutic service, I strongly recommend their oriental foot reflexology. It’s a 45-minute session that starts with a foot soak. The stimulation of specific points on the feet can trigger the release of endorphins—the body's natural feel-good hormones. Endorphins contribute to a sense of well-being and relaxation, which can be conducive to better sleep. I thoroughly enjoyed this session and it’s best for those who have a tight schedule but would still like to prioritize a relaxing me-time. To further relax the mind and body, each session ends with a steaming cup of their famous ginger tea—complimentary, of course.

The Spa Wellness may have gone through some challenges from the pandemic, but their commitment to top-notch therapeutic services won’t stop them from reopening their doors to beloved patrons and guests.
