The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) is poised to set up over 100 satellite offices across the country in a bid to bolster its role in President Duterte's war on drugs.

PDEA director Isidro Lapeña said the plan will cover the construction of 81 provincial offices, 5 district offices in Metro Manila, and 33 offices in other urban areas.

The project is expected to strengthen PDEA's intelligence gathering and coordination with local police units.

PDEA currently has only 18 regional offices.
