After two failed bids for a senate seat, Risa Hontiveros admitted, two of her kids were apprehensive of her third try.

But now that her seat is practically secured, Hontiveros may also soon fulfill another "fight" in her life: finding love.

"Of course," the mom of four timidly answered when asked if she's open to dating.

"May mga laban na hindi dapat binibitawan—di lang naman sa adbokasiya, sa buhay din," she said.

Though she's not dating anyone right now, she added she is not picky whether or not that someone would be coming from the government.

"Wala naman akong pinipiling sektor," she said.

Hontiveros shared that she usually has "girl talks" with fellow candidate Leila De Lima.

Hontiveros' husband, Francisco Baraquel Jr., passed away in 2005 due to severe asthma.
