"We are no longer together but we are friends." These were the words of actress Jodi Sta. Maria after she was asked to clarify rumors about her breakup with Cavite Vice Governor Jolo Revilla.

The 34-year-old Sta. Maria was speaking in a joint interview with "The Achy Breaky Hearts" co-star Richard Yap on "Tonight with Boy Abunda" Tuesday night. She did not elaborate on her split with Revilla.

Sta. Maria first confirmed her relationship with Revilla in late 2012. Prior to Revilla, Sta. Maria dated Pampi Lacson, the son of former Senator Panfilo Lacson.

In the same interview, Sta. Maria and Yap also talked about what fans can expect from their characters in the upcoming Star Cinema film. The two also had to answer a series of questions in quick succession during the "Fast Talk" segment of the late night talk show.
