(UPDATED) A former beauty queen has received a job promotion at the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA).
Celine Pialago, who has been serving as spokesperson for the MMDA, has been promoted as an assistant secretary under the Duterte administration.
She will remain as MMDA spokesperson, according to her appointment paper shown to reporters.

Pialago became Internet famous around four years ago when she competed in the Miss Philippines Earth pageant because of her "she passed away" gaffe during an interview.

She was appointed as spokesperson of the MMDA in September 2016. On her Instagram account, she wrote about how blessed she is to be working for the agency.
