In 2018, Kathryn Bernardo marked her 15th anniversary in showbiz. Looking back on her humble beginnings, Kathryn said on her TWBA interview that she tried her best to live a normal life as a kid. She balanced work with play even if she had other responsibilities. Yet, there were advantages as well like earning at a young age. When it comes to being famous, Kathryn didn’t want to take the public attention seriously since she was also a school girl that time.

The Queen Of Hearts clarified that she was never forced to enter showbiz. Otherwise, she could’ve easily told her mom to drag her out of the industry and make things easier for their family. Her parents sacrificed a lot to support her dreams. Her dad was left in the province while her mom was too focused on her. The attention she got from her Mommy Min even led to slight sibling issues when she was young. But these conflicts no longer existed when she and her siblings grew up. Besides, the entire family is reaping the fruits of Kathryn and Mommy Min’s hard work.

There was a time when Kathryn felt scared and doubtful of her decision to pursue a showbiz career, especially when Mara Clara came to a close. She was anxious if something as big as Mara Clara will still come her way. Her contemporary, Julia Montes, was instantly offered a big follow-up project with Coco Martin while she’s still floating in search of a love team partner.

In 2017, KathNiel did the fantasy series La Luna Sangre, the project which made Kathryn question her own capabilities. The bashing on social media added more to her distress. Fortunately, she managed to learn how to ignore irrelevant opinion.

She denied the issue of going under the knife. The changes in her physical appearance, according to her, are just natural products of adolescence and maturity. She doesn’t see anything wrong with improving oneself through surgeries, either. Kathryn doesn’t care about being called ‘maarte’ as she’s admittedly vain and ‘kikay’ at times. On her alleged rift with Miles Ocampo, the talented actress clarified that they remain friends, although, the closeness was diminished over the years. “Nag-grow lang kami separately pero hindi dahil may problema o away,” she expressed. Kathryn believes that we outgrow people as we age but it doesn’t mean that the friendship has been buried in the past.
