Filipinos, particularly showbiz enthusiasts, are no strangers to Carmen Soo, who was very visible in ABS-CBN shows and even topbilled a Kapamilya teleserye opposite Jericho Rosales in the late 2000s.

After more than a decade, the Malaysian actress-model is back in the Philippine teleserye scene as one of the newest additions to the cast of “The Iron Heart,” which is now on its second season.

As we anticipate seeing more of her refreshing beauty – of course, we’d love to see her action chops as well – in The Iron Heart, let us take on this quick refresher on her past appearances in Kapamilya programs.

Carmen charmed Pinoy viewers when she played the leading lady to Jericho Rosales in her first Filipino drama “Kahit Isang Saglit, a collaboration of ABS-CBN and Malaysia’s Double Vision in 2008.

In this tale of serendipity and seeking justice, Garie (Carmen), a woman searching for her long-lost father, crosses paths with Rocky (Jericho) in Malaysia when the latter went there to investigate his father’s murder, oblivious to their closely intertwined past.

Carmen’s Philippine TV career blew up so huge that she headlined an episode (titled “Videoke”) of the iconic drama anthology “Maalaala Mo Kaya”, opposite Luis Manzano, in 2009. They breathed life to the story of a couple going through terrible challenges brought about by their pursuit of their dream careers.

The award-winning actress further showcased her expertise in romance-drama by means of “Your Song: Beautiful Girl” in 2010. She was paired with Christian Bautista in the four-part weekly series.

Besides her acting chops and beautiful face, another reason Filipinos have been so drawn to Carmen is her bubbly and lovely personality, which she got to showcase as a “hurado” on It’s Showtime in 2011.

Just recently, Carmen officially made her comeback on Philippine TV via the bolder, fiercer, and stronger Season 2 of “The Iron Heart.”

On her first appearance in the series, her character, Harmonia, warned Menandro (Ian Veneracion) about the entrance of the transnational crime organization Altare in the Philippines.

And based on her first few scenes, we could sense that Harmonia has something up her sleeve, which has only elevated our excitement.
