Being in the industry for 12 years, we’re able to witness how Sue Ramirez worked her way up from being a teen star playing supporting roles in the teleseryes and movies she starred in to becoming one of the most sought-after leading ladies of her generation.

As she’s about to astound us in her most challenging portrayal to date as Lexy Lucero in the highly anticipated Kapamilya series The Broken Marriage Vow, let’s look back on some of her remarkable teleserye stints through the years in this episode of Kapamilya Spotlight!

She had her acting debut via the remake of the classic 90’s soap opera Mula Sa Puso in 2011, through which she’s able to immediately wow us with her dramatic chops as Nicole Matias, the daughter of veteran actress Eula Valdes’ character. It was succeeded by her antagonistic role in the well-loved afternoon drama Angelito: Batang Ama as Rona Dimaano, and went on to reprise it in its sequel Angelito: Ang Bagong Yugto the following year.

She also became part of the horror fiction series Oka2kat, the stand-alone sequel to the iconic 1997 television series !Oka Tokat, in 2012, then of the family drama Annaliza in 2013, which was the incarnation of the 80’s soap opera of the same title.

The year 2015 was truly a hectic one for Sue as she appeared in various Kapamilya shows. She had a special participation in the afternoon series Nasaan Ka Nang Kailangan Kita as the young Cecilia Macaraig (played by Vina Morales), scored a supporting role in All Of Me, and became the thirdweel to Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla in the remake of the romance drama Pangako Sa ‘Yo. She further astonished us with her versatility as an actress through her stints in the “Pagkakasala ng Ama” episode of Ipaglaban Mo, in Wansapanataym PresentsRemote ni Eric,” and in the “Entablado” and “Eye Glasses” episodes of Maalaala Mo Kaya.

In 2016, she starred anew in Ipaglaban Mo via “Kidnap” episode and MMK via “Paru-paro” episode, and once again became the third-party to the characters of Liza Soberano and Enrique Gil in the well-loved romance series Dolce Amore.

After depicting the young Margaret Divinagracia (Connie Reyes) in My Dear Heart, the talented actress impressed us with her onscreen fighting skills and stunts as she played a she-wolf named Catleya in the 2017 fantasy-action series La Luna Sangre.

The 25-year-old actress finally scored her first-ever lead protagonist role in a teleserye through Hanggang Saan in 2018, wherein she played Anna Michelle Lamoste. She then went on to star in Ipaglaban Mo through the “Sakal” episode, wherein she depicted a battered and sexually-abused wife, and had a guest appearance in FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano as the vivacious Marie Espinosa.

Her last acting stint was in the 2020 action-drama series A Soldier’s Heart, wherein she enthralled us with her performance as the tough soldier Captain Lourdes Bacalso.

And this 2022, brace yourselves as we’re about to see Sue in her most daring and challenging role to date in the forthcoming The Broken Marriage Vow. Catch its premiere on January 24 at 8:40PM on Kapamilya Channel, Kapamilya Online Live, A2Z Channel 11, and TV5! iWantTFC subscribers also have the chance to watch the pilot episode two days prior to airing via the online streaming platform.
