Francine Diaz’s latest vlog collaboration with fellow Kapamilya actress Denise Laurel is something that would reaffirm your faith in yourself and give you a fresh perspective about not rushing into love.

Donning their pajamas, Francine invited Denise for an interview where she was able to listen to her musings about love and life. First, Denise let us in on her secrets to ageless beauty – workout, water, sleep, gratitude and patience.

A sunny disposition truly makes a person more attractive, matched by wisdom gleaned from
experience. Denise didn’t shy away from sharing even her mistakes. She believes it’s her mission to celebrate them so others especially younger people like Francine may learn from her experience.

“I tried so hard to make everyone else around me happy. I let myself to get distracted by what everybody else was saying that it distracted me from what God wanted me to do. Before I realized it, time had passed,” said Denise of her biggest mistake in life.

A lot wiser, she urges younger people to make careful decisions because not everything you see is going to be the best one for you, “You’re never going to be this young again. You’re never going to have this life again. But it doesn’t mean that you can’t achieve more no matter what age you are. But, please, everything that’s put before you is either to grow you or to distract you.”

So, to you who are in a hurry to enter a relationship, Denise says, “Take your time because there’s so much you can achieve. And you’ll be surprised when you’re so fulfilled with everything that you’ve done, then may bonus na kasama. Isipin mo bonus ‘yun! Don’t rush. It will come right when it’s meant to be. When you least expect it. Don’t hurry. Travel. Enjoy. Celebrate. Work Hard. Achieve.”

Her past relationships taught her to also value herself instead of giving her all to the other person, “You don’t forget yourself. You don’t stop loving yourself. You don’t forget your priorities in life.” But, it shouldn’t come to a point of being selfish. Denise underscored the need for balance in a relationship. It only becomes successful when two people understand that they’re supposed to hold hand in hand and support each other, and accept each other’s flaws because love is a choice.

After all the bruises and pain from love, Denise is now in a happier state. She described her heart as happy and at peace, filled with love for herself, family, and son Davian Alejandro.

For Denise, her son is love personified. She looks at him as a source of motivation and a reminder of God’s immeasurable goodness, “How I love him is like a million times worth how much God loves me. So, everytime I need inspiration, I just look at him.“ That’s the best thing about motherhood for her – to be able to experience such a powerful, extraordinary love with her son, whom she calls the best gift.

Her motherhood story may not be perfect but it helped discover her true strength that made her realize she’s enough. “Never think that you need an external person or situation to help you because everything that you need is within you,” she told fellow single moms.

After the inspiring conversation about life, Francine asked Denise to play “Never Have I Ever” Challenge with her. It got more fun and intriguing here as they responded to questions about exes and crushes.

There was one question about hiding their Instagram stories to specific people. Francine revealed she limits her post’s audience “to make papansin to my crush.” She also said it’s pretty much obvious when she likes someone because she can’t help looking at the guy.

Francine likes older men. She wishes her first boyfriend would also be her last, kindling Denise’s admiration. “Be very protective of your heart. Be very protective of your soul because you are so precious. God took so much time to make you. Girl, you are so worth everything,” said Denise.

Both of them had experienced deleting an ex-boyfriend or a crush’s photos, stalking online the person they like, and lying to their parents.

On sharing social media passwords, Denise is very open about it while Francine prefers to keep it private. From there, Denise noted the young actress’ mature take on boundaries, something rare for a teenager like her. “At such a young age, they feel like the more you give, the more you love. But, really, the more you love yourself, the more you’ll have enough love for others,” Denise reminded the young viewers.

She also admired her answer on celebrating other people’s success instead of feeling jealous. Near the end of the video, Denise expressed how proud she is of Francine’s maturity, calling her wise beyond her years.
