What’s the first thing that comes to mind when you hear the word romantic comedy? Is it a slow-motion meet-cute that leads to a grand wedding? Is it ex-lovers who get the chance to rekindle their flame? Is it a messy love triangle? Is it a good foundation of friendship? Or is it a tender kiss shared in a picturesque city?

In whatever way you picture romance, it’s always a treat to see the different stories and portrayals of kilig on the big screen. That’s why we made a playlist of feel-good rom-com films perfect for your next movie night. Check out the following films that are all part of Star Cinema’s “Laugh & Love” playlist on YouTube!

For that nostalgic college vibe, we’ve got “Sakaling Maging Tayo” starring reel-and-real life couple McCoy de Leon and Elisse Joson as college freshmen who bond over completing a set of dares; and “To Love Some Buddy” following Maja Salvador and Zanjoe Marudo as college buddies who realize their romantic feelings for each other years later.

If you want to branch out of school storylines and into a corporate setting, check out the cute cat-and-dog dynamic of young professionals Zoey (Julia Barretto) and Joko (Joshua Garcia) in “I Love You, Hater”; and the unique chemistry of marketing executive Georgina (Toni Gonzaga) and her secretary Pong (Coco Martin) in “You’re My Boss”.

Do you believe that opposites attract? The love story of campus bad girl Mela (Claudine Barretto) and good boy Miguel (Rico Yan) in “Dahil Mahal na Mahal Kita”, as well as that of perfectionist Gab (Kathryn Bernardo) and happy-go-lucky Dos (Daniel Padilla) in “Can’t Help Falling in Love", will probably make you root for couples with contrasting personalities!

Not all stories start with a clean slate though, as evident in films about ex-lovers coming together for a purpose, such as “My Ex and Whys” starring Liza Soberano and Enrique Gil, and “Bakit ‘Di Totohanin” starring Judy Ann Santos and Piolo Pascual.

To top it off, we’ve also added the international collaboration of Erich Gonzales and Thai star Mario Maurer in “Suddenly It’s Magic”, a film about how a world-famous celebrity falls for a charming Filipino baker.
