<div><span class="fr-img-caption fr-fic fr-dib" style="width:960px;display:block" width="960"><span class="fr-img-wrap"><img src="https://od2-image-api.abs-cbn.com/prod/editorImage/1768459269958IMG_6103.jpg" style="width:960px" class="fr-fic fr-dib" width="960"/><span class="fr-inner" style="text-align:left">MJ Phillips and Myla Pablo during the formal announcement of their signing with the Nxled Chameleons. <em>PVL Media Bureau</em></span></span></span></div><p>MANILA — MJ Phillips is ecstatic as she enters a new chapter in her Premier Volleyball League (PVL) career.</p><p>Phillips, 30, a multi-titled player from the Petro Gazz Angels, will be wearing the neon green jersey come the 2026 season of the PVL, signing with the Nxled Chameleons.</p><p>Nxled finally unboxed its biggest stars it acquired during the offseason, with Phillips joining the fold alongside star spikers Brooke Van Sickle and Myla Pablo, as well as setter Jules Tolentino.</p><p>Several Angels also signed with the team, such as Bang Pineda, Jonah Sabete-Escamillan, Djanel Cheng, Ranya Musa, and Nicole Tiamzon.</p><div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/sports/volleyball/2026/1/15/pvl-nxled-welcomes-ex-petro-gazz-players-brooke-van-sickle-mj-phillips-myla-pablo-1354"><strong>READ: PVL: Nxled welcomes ex-Petro Gazz players Brooke Van Sickle, MJ Phillips, Myla Pablo</strong></a></div><p>The former league Best Middle Blocker expressed excitement in playing with the Chameleons under Italian coach Ettore Guidetti.</p><p>&quot;Nxled, they [were] one of the bottom teams. So, it&#x27;s gonna be a challenge, but we&#x27;re all up for it. And I&#x27;m excited for an Italian coach. I&#x27;ve never been under an Italian coach before,&quot; Phillips said, referring to Guidetti. </p><p>She was also glad to be sticking with the Petro Gazz core, after the latter took a leave of absence from the league.</p><div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/sports/volleyball/2026/1/10/pvl-petro-gazz-takes-leave-of-absence-angels-now-free-agents-1225"><strong>READ: PVL: Petro Gazz takes leave of absence; Angels now free agents</strong></a></div><p>&quot;[H]e has a strong background with coaching, so I feel like I have a lot to learn from him. And yeah, I&#x27;m just glad that a lot of the Petro Gazz girls are with me still. And to be able to be with new players, it&#x27;s just like a fresh start. And I&#x27;m like really excited for what we have to showcase next,&quot; said Phillips.</p><p>The 6-foot blocker said she&#x27;s &quot;bummed&quot; about Petro Gazz leaving, but she remained grateful for the experience with the Angels.</p><p>She is a three-time PVL champion with Petro Gazz, and won two Finals MVP nods with the squad.</p><p>&quot;My favorite color is green.
