MANILA – Volleyball star Eya Laure said Alas Pilipinas looks to build on the gains from its back-to-back assignments in the 2025 AVC Women's Nations Cup and the 2025 VTV Cup.

"Malaking pasasalamat ako sa mga nagiging teammates ko kasi yung trust na nabubuo namin from AVC to VTV ay malaking bagay sa progress na sinasabi namin sa team na kailangan talagang maranasan. Hindi talaga laging mananalo, pero matututo," Laure said.

"Sabi nga ni ate Jia, ate Dawn na kailangan same people. We need to add more people pero same system na siyempre bit by bit, every single day sa training namin ay pinag-ttrabahuan na ng bawat isa," she added.

Laure shared her experience playing with two different Alas teams in the recent competitions.

"Talagang yung chemistry pinag-ttrabahuan namin every day. Talagang yung ginagawa namin na trabaho sa outside of training palang, doon talaga kumukuha ng lakas. Also naging challenge din siguro yung yung mga health namin lalo na this VTV maraming nagkakasakit," she said.

"Kaya siyempre in the end of the day, kung ano yung makakaya at ano magiging best result yun po muna. Sana maging patient din kayo sa aming lahat. Kasi lahat naman gusto manalo, lahat naman gusto ipaglaban ang Pilipinas," the volleyball star said.

When asked about her personal motivation despite the hectic schedule, Laure relishes every opportunity to represent the flag.

"As much as nagtitiwala yung coaches and yung teammates ko sa akin, yun yung motivation ko. I will always do my best para sa kanila and para din sa Pilipinas siyempre," she shared.
