MANILA, Philippines – Fil-American setter Tia Andaya is brimming with excitement as she made her official entry to the Premier Volleyball League through the Choco Mucho Flying Titans.

Andaya, who has a vast wealth of international experience and was the star of the two-day Draft Combine at Paco Arena, went to Choco Mucho in the first round as the Flying Titans used the seventh overall pick on the product of Gonzaga University and Central Washington University in the United States.

Even at her caliber, the playmaker admitted that the league exercise was stressful for her.

But as her name was called at the 2025 PVL Rookie Draft on Sunday at Novotel Manila in Quezon City, she can now breathe a sigh of relief.

"I can breathe. I was stressed, but I'm super excited. I honestly wasn't sure what was going to come out of tonight, but I'm super excited," Andaya told reporters following her selection.

Andaya is well aware that Choco Mucho has a huge fanbase in the Philippines, and she was just thrilled to be playing for the Flying Titans.

"I've heard. I'm definitely going to have to adjust, it's going to be a learning curve, but I'm excited. It's going to be super fun to play for a crowd."

Later in the day, coach Dante Alinsunurin shared that he was grateful that Andaya was still available when it was their time to pick.

"Well, 'yung mga na-draft namin, sobrang thankful kasi naabutan namin sila, naabutan namin siya (Tia)," the Flying Titans mentor said.
