IN PHOTOS: The individual awardees of the UAAP Season 87 volleyball tournament

MANILA -- The UAAP recognized the top performers of the Season 87 men's and women's volleyball tournaments on Wednesday at the Mall of Asia Arena.

In the women's division, a familiar face took the top individual award as National University superstar Bella Belen won Most Valuable Player honors for the third time in her UAAP career. Belen is only the third player to win three MVPs in the women's division, joining Alyssa Valdez of Ateneo and Ailyn Ege of Far Eastern University in an elite club.

In the men's division, Kennedy Batas of Ateneo de Manila University capped his breakthrough season by claiming the MVP trophy. He becomes the third Blue Eagle to win the award, after AJ Pareja (Season 72) and Marck Espejo (Seasons 76-80).

1st Best Outside Spiker -- Kennedy Batas (Ateneo)

2nd Best Outside Spiker -- Jan Julian Macam (UST)

Best Opposite Spiker -- Amil Pacinio Jr. (Ateneo)

1st Best Middle Blocker -- Paul Colinares (UST)

2nd Best Middle Blocker -- Leo Coguimbal (Adamson)

Best Setter -- Dux Yambao (UST)

Best Libero -- Menard Guerrero (La Salle)


WOMEN'S DIVISION:

MVP -- Bella Belen (NU)

Rookie of the Year -- Shaina Nitura (Adamson)
