MANILA -- Jonathan Ng, the Vice Chairman and CEO of the Republic Biscuit Corporation (Rebisco) Group of Food Companies, will be recognized as the Executive of the Year in the first-ever Pilipinas Live PVL Press Corps Awards Night on May 28 at the Novotel Manila Araneta City in Quezon City.

Ng bagged the recognition in the special award rites presented by Arena Plus by earning 12.8 points coming from 9.6 media votes and 3.2 team votes, cast by head coaches and captains from the 12 participating squads.

During his tenure, Ng also saw the Choco Mucho Flying Titans take home back-to-back silver medal finishes from 2023 to 2024.

Notably, Ng's Cool Smashers and the Flying Titans drew 24,459 fans to a single volleyball match, setting a record-breaking gate attendance when they faced each other in Game 2 of the 2023-24 PVL All-Filipino Conference Finals.

Rebisco, which has been supporting the Philippine national volleyball teams and Ateneo in UAAP volleyball over the past years, also entered the men's volleyball club scene through Criss Cross. The King Crunchers reached the finals for three consecutive Spikers' Turf conferences and finished with silver medals since joining last year.

The Rebisco management also made sure to bring in valuable reinforcements in American wing spiker Erica Staunton, who joined hands with Bernadeth Pons and Michele Gumabao to power the injury-riddled Cool Smashers in the 2024 PVL Reinforced and Invitational Conferences to complete the grand slam.

Staunton also led Creamline with two additional imports in Russian opposite hitter Anastasya Kudryashova and Kazakh middle blocker Anastassiya Kolomoyets in the recently concluded 2025 AVC Women's Champions League.
