Not only did Nitura deliver 32 markers in their win vs. defending champions National University to keep their campaign alive -- she also became the first-ever player in the women's division to post four 30-plus point games in a single season.

“This is one of my best games kasi mataas yung efficiency ko,” commented the Cainta native during the postgame presser on Sunday after converting 30 of her 85 attack attempts. “Good result, kasi hindi kami natalo.”

However, much like how Nitura has been in her previous record-setting games — the 20-year-old has already reset the league’s scoring mark in the women’s side with 38 — she insisted that these achievements do not really excite her that much.

“Hindi ko po talaga siya goal,” she emphasized. “Nagkakataon lang po talaga kasi will yun ni Lord. ‘Di ko po talaga yun iniisip, kasi ime-memorize ko pa ba yun? Basta ang alam ko na I want my team to win, and I will do everything for us to win.”'

And while Nitura, who is also the Season 87 Rookie of the Year frontrunner, has gotten praises from teammates, coaches, and opponents alike, she maintained that the feats will only get merit once they consistently translate into triumphs.

“Wala pa po siyang meaning,” she said. “Magkaka-meaning lang po siya pagnananalo kami, at magkaka-meaning lang po siya ‘pag, sana, makalaro kami for a championships in the next seasons.”

“Kulang pa yun kasi alam ko sa sarili ko yung kapasidad ko. Alam kong may ibubuga pa po ako,” Nitura added.

Adamson still has a slim chance of making the postseason with only three games left in their assignments, and they will look to boost their hopes when they face Far Eastern University on April 12.

However, for Nitura, what they need to prioritize is competing with a ‘nothing to lose, everything to gain’ mentality as the season’s end nears.

“’Di na po namin iniisip, ang sinsasbi lang po namin sa sarili namin is nothing to lose na kami,” she said. “Maliit na lang yung kapit namin sa Final 4, so pressure is not on us but nasa kalaban namin.”
