MANILA — Brooke Van Sickle of Finals-bound Petro Gazz Angels shared Thursday that she's already preparing for "consistent and winning team" Creamline in the championship round of the 2024-25 Premier Volleyball League (PVL) All-Filipino Conference.

This was when she was asked which team she anticipates in the next round, although it's not yet certain between Creamline and Choco Mucho, which are duking it out as of writing.

Akari is out for title contention as it currently holds an inferior set ratio against Creamline and Choco Mucho, should there be a three-way tie at 1-2. The Chargers were relegated to the bronze medal match following their 22-25, 20-25, 18-25 loss to Petro Gazz earlier today.

Van Sickle's not wrong though — if history's to be asked, the Cool Smashers have been in the finals in the past two years, or since the 2023 First All-Filipino Conference.

Creamline has mastery over its sister team, having won 16 matches and lost only one.

However, the reigning All-Filipino Conference MVP said she's "gonna stay open-minded" about the impending results of the last game today.

"You know, I'm gonna stay open-minded. We'll see how it is, but I'm going to probably say it's going to be Creamline, you know, just because of how consistent they are and they're always a winning team. They're always in the finals, so I'm gearing up," said Van Sickle.

"I already kind of been mentally preparing for the rematch and I know for a fact if we do end up rematching them, they're going to come out at 120 percent, so we've got to be ready. They're super hungry, that team and we were able to luckily get a win off of them in the semis, so we'll see. I mean, it's going to be a tough battle," she added.
